Single Mother, Coach & Designer

«Find where you went to hell and back.»
– Martha Beck

The separation from the father of my child was the biggest challenge of my life so far: the surprisingly intense grief, the initial disorientation, the many fears, the conflicts… and all the while, constantly being there for my little daughter. I know from personal experience what it means to be a working single parent while also managing separation and divorce, financial challenges, attempts at co-parenting, and a mountain of administrative tasks. And all of this during a pandemic and the outbreak of war in Europe.
Even before that, my life hadn't been easy: I financed my full-time bachelor's degree with scholarships and working, learned to recognize my limits in various agencies and watched others claim credit for my successful work.

After my separation, I wanted to connect with other women. I found that with Fempreneurs, the Wayfinder Community, the Frauenzentrale, and other strong women. A key moment happened three years ago, when I was working as an Art Director for NorthSouth Publishing in New York and met Martha Beck and her partner Rowan Mangan for lunch. During our inspiring conversation, it became clear to me that I wanted to become a coach – and that many signs had been pointing in that direction for a long time. Here's a fun clip of our meeting from Martha's perspective (starting at 2:55').

On my journey, I learned what truly makes me happy, how I want to shape my life, and what I should listen to. To do this, I had to let go of many things – and people too. Today, I feel better than ever. That doesn't mean I don't have any problems anymore. But now I am the captain of my own ship and have the tools to navigate safely. And I would like to share these with you.
